About

This painting is all about my story. A resulting piece from an effort to portray myself just the way I am, without trying to creating something that I am not. My intentions and artistic values are to move peoples’ hearts by helping them get to know what kind of human being I am by revealing the dark and vulgar things inside me through my art pieces.

All the paint layers that exist within my painting encase the everyday life and emotion that I encounter on a daily basis. whilst this is intended to capture a layer that summarises the complexity of the daily life that is accumulated as an entire entity, the finishing touches of various texts aim to be a condensation of the main emotions that are meant to be expressed in this piece.

As we live amongst the wider society, we encounter countless things that are vulgar and fearful to us. Eventually, we accumulate a lot of feelings and end up choosing to evade the very things that we encounter. For instance, people have a strong desire to flee from the presence of trash due to the simple fact that it is dirty. However, once that trash gets used and becomes rejuvenated as a piece of art, I believe that such nose-wrenching, vile piece of trash can become whole and be cured in a way. Similarly, I believe that true liberation can be experienced once I bring out my inner vulgarity and fears. I really wanted to shine a light on the fact that all of the emotions that have been dismissed in our lives and all the feelings that we wanted to get away from could be reborn into art through the medium of trash.
